Part of the unique Tenute Costa project, bringing together fifty hectares of vineyard across three very different regions of Italy, all using the best possible team of wine-growers, agronomists, cellarmasters, and the world-renowned oenologist Carlo Ferrini.

DueCorti is in the Langhe, more precisely the Commune of Monforte D'Alba, the heart of the Barolo production zone. Its 11 hectares of vineyards are on the flank of a hillside facing the Castle of Serralunga. The cellars, which will be inaugurated in autumn 2010, will be notable for their invisibility: Glass and larch wood on the outside, and the best of enological technology on the inside.

The vineyards are located in Castelletto, in the Commune of Monforte D'Alba. The estate brings together two of the region's most prestigious “crus”: Pressenda, and Castelletto. The lands of the two crus, each with its cascina, or farm complex, are adjacent, and now DueCorti has 11 hectares planted with vines. They climb the steep slopes of the hill in closely spaced steps, face primarily to the southeast, and range from 270 to 550 metres above sea level. The varietals planted are Nebbiolo (9 hectares) and Dolcetto (2 hectares). The upper part, with looser soils that are sandy in part, is more open, with magnificent views, whereas the lower areas have more compact soils that confer more power and tannicity to the wines.
