Part of the unique Tenute Costa project, bringing together fifty hectares of vineyard across three very different regions of Italy, all using the best possible team of wine-growers, agronomists, cellarmasters, and the world-renowned oenologist Carlo Ferrini.

Terre di Fiori is an estate immersed in the richly scented countryside of the Maremma. The cellars are surrounded by vineyards and ancient olive trees, on a gentle hill in the Commune of Grosseto, from which one can see the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Island of Elba in the distance. The cellars, which are partially underground, are based upon the windmills of the Maremma, a simple idea that was interpreted both architecturally and energetically; a system of Aeolian microturbines provides the energy necessary to produce the wine. The areas dedicated to production are at lower elevations, making it possible to move the wine exclusively through the force of gravity.

The vineyards of Terre di Fiori, planted in 2003, are divided into two distinct areas that are separated by a few kilometres, and that are complementary from a productive standpoint. One has loose, stony terrains that confer elegance, the other has compact terrains that confer body and structure. Every parcel -- 11 have been identified -- is named after a flower, and is harvested and vinified separately.

The signature wine of Terre di Fiori is the “Ventaio” Morellino di Scansano DOCG, made from grapes taken from the Ventaio parcel of vineyard, which, next to the sea, can reach their maximum potential.
