About Us

My family, the Grossi's, originates from a small town called Dicomano situated about 30 kilometres northeast of Florence on the meeting point of the Comano and Sieve rivers. The town marks the northern boundaries of the old wine producing zone designated as Chianti Rufina. It is from the surrounding hills of Dicomano and Rufina where we have obtained some of our first specialist wines, which are made in small amounts purely with quality for the finished product in mind. I have since made it my mission to search out small, artisan producers from all over Italy, producers who still make wine traditionally, pick their grapes by hand and give great care to their product. I want true Italian wines, showing all the characteristics of their grape variety and terroir, to be available to customers in the UK and not just in Italy!

All of our staff hold qualifications from both the Association of Italian Sommeliers and the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, and we all love discussing wine, so if you need any advice please don't hesitate to call our offices in Matlock, Derbyshire on 01629 733969 and speak with us.
