La Casella
“La Casella” is located in the heart of the region which produces Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, near to the town of Montepulciano. The farm was founded by Alfio Carpini and was one of the first vineyards in the area to embrace organic farming methods. Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, already recognised as one of the greatest wines of Italy, and made from pure Sangiovese, is further enhanced by Carpini’s philosophies and dedication to quality and natural farming methods. Techniques such as rigorous pruning and particularly careful attention to detail during the harvest make all the difference once in the bottle.
The farm currently produces traditional organic wines: Rosso di Montepulciano, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and a Riserva, and they are also experimenting with other grape varieties to produce a high quality non-traditional wine from organic grapes.
